Rambusch was an active participant in the creation of a unique family of decorative lighting fixtures that were understandable yet unique, both inspiring and supportive of the environment in which they have been placed.
Rambusch was an active participant in the creation of a unique family of decorative lighting fixtures for the small, newly completed Helsinki Finland Temple. The design directive was to create a family of fixtures that blended with the locale and its history, while still displaying a unique style and mood. The fixtures were fabricated from yellow brass with a hand-applied glaze over the base stain, providing a sense of movement and shading in the luminaire, reminiscent of the clean style of Eero Saarinen. A decorative element was brought forth through the creation of unique sand-carved details on the glass shades and tubes. The result is a set of fixtures that is truly understandable yet unique, both inspiring and supportive of the environment in which they have been placed.
